Welcome to "Your Victory Is My Victory".
On behalf of the youth of SGI Canada, we invite you to attend “Your Victory Is My Victory,” a special musical presentation at Roy Thomson Hall in Toronto on Saturday, May 15, 2010 at 4:00 pm.
The purpose of this show is to launch a youth-centred curriculum that was created in collaboration with Free The Children and Me to We. The purpose of the curriculum is to help young people realize their greater potential and to inspire them to contribute to society in their own unique ways.
There are seven themes in the curriculum:
- Dealing with failure and disappointments
- Understanding one’s self-identity
- Developing hope and courage
- Relationships
- Community building
- Learning the art of dialogue
- The value of having dreams and goals.
These themes will be depicted in the show through the story of a day in the life of a young person, expressed through music and dance.
More than 650 participants from 8 cities in Canada are putting this show together and representatives from Free the Children and Me to We will be participating in the show. Marc Kielburger, co-founder of Free the Children, the world’s largest organization of children helping children through education, will be the guest speaker at the event.
The show is 90 minutes and tickets are priced at $25, $30, $35. To order tickets please either call the Roy Thomson Box Office at (416) 872-4255 or order online at
Roy Thompson Hall Tickets.
We sincerely hope you will join us in launching this valuable youth-centred curriculum and contribute to its success through your own attendance and participation.
On behalf of SGI Canada and Me to We, thank you and we look forward to seeing you at the show!
